Remedial massage is a treatment that is focused more on problematic areas of the body. Unlike relaxation massage which is a general full body well-being type of treatment, remedial massage will tend to be a more singular body part treatment ie problematic shoulders or hamstrings, etc. Rarely is it considered a full-body massage nor is it a one-off treatment but rather a part of a series of treatments. Your treatment will often consist of trigger points and deep tissue techniques where required as well as some stretching. It will also consist of a pre-assessment and sometimes a post-assessment to check for the progress of the treated area.
